HERE'S A PEUGEOT 1986 505 SEDAN AUTOMATIC RARE PROJECT CAR FOR THE RIGHT PERSON!!
The car is NOT in RUNNING/DRIVING CONDITION.
THE CAR IS LOCATED ON TYBEE ISLAND, GEORGIA, NEAR SAVANNAH
Here's the story. I drove this car down to Tybee, probably 6 or 7 years ago. I ended up parking it in the garage where it has been for the past years. The summer before last, i dragged it out and cleaned the air filter and much of the Bosch fuel injection system .... it's like on an older Saab or maybe Volvo with the mechanical metering rod, etc. I got it running and drove it around the block a few times.
I used this car for probably 5 or 6 years and drove it all over the country, to Ohio, Missouri, New Orleans, Florida, etc. The AC always worked well, was ice cold ... i'm sure it would come back to life with a bit of charge. I generally charged it ever few years. The 4 speed ZF Automatic transmission always seemed a little bit slippy on starts, but it's condition never really changed. I had to occasionally change the #4 spark plug because that one would foul from time to time, but basically this was always a very reliable car.
The paint is crummy, i think there's one dent in a fender and the leather seats are deteriorated. It has one tire that has a leak. All the wheels are on the car. It is what it is.
The car shows only 162,000 on the odometer and i believe that to be correct. I do have clear Georgia title for the car.
I'll be on Tybee for another couple of days if you want to see the car in the garage. I'm not going to drag it out for tire kickers. If you want a Peugeot project to bring back to life, then this is the car for you. If you want to buy it for $200 and scrap it for $400, it's not going to happen. I have the car price at about twice scrap value and won't take much less. I can sell a few parts off the car on eBay and generate more $$ than my selling price.
So, if you have some serious interest, feel free to call me on 706 540-3285 noon to 1 am or email and give your number and i'll give you a call. I'm Rick.
Thanks
